Healing does not necessarily mean complete freedom from post-traumatic effects but generally, it is the ability to live in the present without being overwhelmed by the thoughts and feelings of the past.
The goal of trauma healing is to give anyone who experienced trauma a feeling that they have control over their lives again and gets the most benefits from these tough experiences.
